Nasser Tabook

Mr. Nasser Tabook is currently working at Dhofar University of Arts and Applied Science in the Department of Computer Science.

Previously, he worked at the Ministry of Agriculture in the Dhofar region from 1996 to 2016 as Head of Technical Department (including Training, Media, Statistical Department, Rural Development, and Computer Section).

He managed and participated in statistical surveys, supervised, and maintained the entire network infrastructure. He helped modify and design the Camel Project Information System’s (2003) database and program logic for agricultural departments.

From 2003 to 2006, he held the esteemed position of Database Team Leader of the Camel Project within the Ministry of Agriculture.

He helped supervise the ITA project for summer programming in Dhofar Municipality (2015).

Mr. Tabook delivers lectures on essential networking infrastructure, graphic design, and web design at esteemed institutions such as Salalah Technical College, The Salalah College of Applied Sciences, the Ministry of Education in the Dhofar region, and the Dhofar Governor’s Office in Salalah.

He was a mentor and supervisor at the Salalah Hackathon event that was held in 2019.

Additionally, he was a keynote speaker at the Oman Youth Data event held in 2019.
